Women’s Hospital Ambajipeta had been started by Dr. I. Leeser and Miss S. Wright who was her colleague. Hundreds of women patients have been blessed by the service rendered by the hospital. Despite the fact that the missionary Doctor Dr. Irene Leeser left the hospital many years ago after serving for over 40 years. Adv. Raju M. Koshy inaugurated Jubilee celebrations of Women’s Hospital on 15th August, 2018. As a result of consistent prayers, God was gracious and brought Bro. Heward Raju as the Superintendent / CEO of the hospital. He joined in October, 2017. Ever since he joined, the hospital is progressing physically and spiritually.Pediatric work is being done by Dr. Pranuth. The Leeser-Wright Eye Care work is continuing. On an average, 1100 cataract and other surgeries have been done here. Bethel Infertility Center is also in operation.

In the previous year, by the grace of God, 2 new departments have commenced – Radiology in the month of July and Dental Department in the month of March. In the year 2021-22, there were a total of 15,466 out-patients and 929 admissions as in-patients. The hospital has also the following departments: Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatric, Infertility clinic and Lesser-Wright Eye care departments.  After the ease of COVID restrictions, from the month of September, 4 free mega medical camps were conducted on every 3rd Tuesday of the month and also 3 mini medical camps.
